‘Burger Monger’—- just north of the Busch Blvd. overpass on Dale Mabry…
Next to the McDonalds…
http://www.burgermonger.com/about/
A few months ago when I saw a ‘coming soon’ sign go up I mentioned it here but I can’t find that post…
They finally opened, and I yanked the wheel as I was driving by close to lunch time…
Lots of toppings available, and————— they’ll cook your burger(s) to order!!!, although their default, if you don’t ask, is medium-well…
They do a single 6oz. patty burger, and double 6oz. patty burger, and a ‘full pound’ double 8oz. patty burger…
Check out the menu…
They exclusively use a special Akaushi Kobe Beef….
I ordered the Double 6oz. ‘medium-rare’ with bacon, American cheese, raw onion, and ketchup…
I would love it if you went in and ordered that burger just as I did…
It has a barbecue vibe…
The thing was gorgeous, and the big ol’ country boy who ordered ahead of me, and was sitting near me, said he wished he ordered after I did because he would have just said DITTO…
His was a single patty, medium-well, with lettuce and pickles, and a ton of other things…
You can’t even call them ‘patties’… They’re each thick, JUICY, flavorful burgers!
Perfect pink medium rare with a smile… No warnings or release waivers…
You should have seen what mine looked like after the first bite!
I showed the big ol’ dude and he said “AWWWW!! — I shoulda got that”…
Bacon was thick & premium…
1/2 order of dark, crispy,, skin-on fries were too much for me…
Two people can split a 1/2 order…
It was a little expensive, but I absolutely did not feel violated…
It was similar to the great $9.99 burger w/fries I get at J. Alexander’s, but this was a double and the fries were cheap…
$9.99 for my double cheeseburger—- Bacon $1.50, Fries $2.00, Soda $2.00 —- and I want to get back in my car right now and repeat…
The service was off-the-charts sweet, friendly, professional, and helpful…
When I Googled a few months ago to see what this Burger Monger was, I read about the special beef and I had high hopes…
These were some of the most delicious high hopes I’ve ever had!
No doubt the Double ’8oz’. Monster Burger is in my future…
