CARROLLWOOD — There’s nothing magical about starting a good restaurant, according to Jake Hickton, general partner at BurgerMonger.
It’s just about using the best quality ingredients and combining them with good service and preparation, he said.
“There’s no real gimmick to what we’re trying to do,” Hickton said. “We’re starting with the best raw products on the planet. We intend to execute them well and offer a high quality food service and experience at a very fair price to the guest.”
Hickton said he looks forward to proving that when BurgerMonger opens May 21 at 10412 N Dale Mabry Highway. Hickton unabashedly declared that he wants to serve “the best-tasting burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and fries.”
The meat for his burgers and hot dogs is a source of pride for Hickton. It comes from Akaushi Kobe beef, which was developed in Japan.
“I think it has a richer flavor and texture,” Hickton said of Akaushi Kobe beef. “You have to really eat it to fully appreciate it. I’m sure some of my friends are biased, but almost everyone tells me it is the best burger they ever tasted.”
In addition to the beef, Hickton said he promises fast service by skilled employees.
“We’re conducting a job fair on May 10 through 13,” he said. “There seem to be a lot of people that want to work. When you’re in the restaurant business long enough, you realize it’s about the quality of the personnel that are on the front lines serving and producing food to the guests.”
